Summer with Wearwell

I’m back home in Chicago (for a short while) after a long and tiring semester and I'm so glad that it finally feels like summer. My mom and I went for an outdoor walk in the park to soak up the sun a few days ago and it was the perfect time to throw on this top Uma Bardofrom wearwell.

You guys know I’m a big fan of sustainable marketplaces. One-stop shops for sustainable clothing, jewelry, home goods, and gifts are underrated. It is so convenient and makes the sustainable search stress-free. Instead of spending hours searching for ethical brands, vetting them, and ruling out greenwashers, wearwell allows you to feel confident about your purchases and their impact. They have endless options from various brands and even have stylists to help you curate looks.

Wearwell’s brand partnership process is super extensive, so you know that any brand you shop from on their website is helping advance workers rights and has a positive environmental impact. Worker’s rights includes a fair wage, safe work environment, right to unionize, and access to healthcare and other benefits. Positive environmental impact includes using organic materials, deadstock fabrics, zero waste processes, and more.

Wearwell is also a women-owned brand and holds inclusivity as one of its core values. They champion intersectional social justice and partner with and support BIPOC-owned and women-owned brands. They are also size inclusive: they offer sizes XS to 3XL and are working to expand that range.

But wearwell isn’t just any sustainable marketplace. They have tons of unique features such as their membership program which gives members 10% off every purchase, access to styling, free shipping, gifts, and other perks. The membership fee is just $10 / month or annual for $8 a month.

They also have a super unique second-hand give-back program called wearwellagain. True sustainability is about wearing what already exists, either from your own closet or someone else’s. Their second-hand program collects gently used wearwell clothing and accessories and then lists them for others to buy at a more affordable price. You even get a discount you can use toward a future purchase.

If you’re still not sold, wearwell also has a rewards program where you can collect points and redeem them for exclusive discounts. P.S. you get 50 points just for signing up and 100 points gives you $10 off!

So, the next time you are in need of new sustainable clothing or accessories, consider hopping on to wearwell to support brands that are good for people and the environment. Check out some of my picks below!
